First Aid at Work
3 days (18 hours excluding breaks) Practical Training
First Aid at Work is a regulated and nationally recognised qualification, specifically designed for those who are appointed to act as a first aider in their workplace. It is ideal for a variety of workplaces; from high-risk construction sites to those employing people with disabilities and medical conditions.
This First Aid at Work course includes the 1-day Emergency First Aid at Work course and further equips the first-aider to apply first aid to a broad range of specific injuries and illnesses.

Who should attend
Those who are aged 16 or over and need to be First Aiders in the workplace. Once qualified, holders of this First Aid at Work certificate can be used as First Aiders in the workplace in accordance with the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974.

Course duration
This course runs over 18 hours spread over at least 3 days. Ideally, the course should be run over three consecutive days, but we have the flexibility to accommodate your specific needs if you so desire, providing it is completed within 4 weeks of starting the course.
Assessment & Certification
Each attendee is independently examined on the final afternoon of the course. Upon successful completion, certification is valid for three years. If you have previously completed the full 3-day First Aid at Work Course and your certificate is in date or within 28 days after the expiry date you may wish to consider the 2-day requalification course. Under the current guidelines, it is 'strongly recommended' that first aid trained staff attend a half-day update every 12 months - before completing full re-qualification training at the 3-year point.
Each learner will also receive a comprehensive First Aid Manual.
